Mallory Butler, Founder & Fractional Controller
Experience isn't always earned in a classroom. Sometimes it's earned in the trenches.
I am not a traditional Controller. I don't have a college degree hanging on my wall. What I do have is 15 years of experience in finance, built through hands-on training, professional development, long hours, hard work, and a determination to keep growing.
Originally from Idaho, I moved to Arizona with my three young boys as a single mom. Over the years, I built a career in finance from the ground up. Every opportunity, every challenge, and every step forward meant more than a title or a paycheck. It meant stability for my family, the ability to provide for my children, and the opportunity to build a future that wasn't limited by where I started.
Throughout that journey, I built something I believe is more valuable than a credential: my name.
My reputation was earned through the quality of my work, my commitment to my clients and employers, and my willingness to take ownership and find solutions. I learned that businesses don't just need someone who can produce financial statements—they need someone who understands what those numbers mean, asks the right questions, and is willing to stand behind the work.
Today, I operate independently as a fractional Controller, giving me the flexibility to support both my family and my clients without compromising either. My goal is to bring the same dedication, accountability, and determination that built my career to every business I work with.
Years later, newly married and with a blended family of seven, B7 represents the family we've built together.
Building a strong family takes trust, communication, accountability, and commitment. I believe building a strong business is no different.
